uncomplicated. The basic "building blocks" of DCN are delegate
units and the central control unit (CCU):

The Central Control Unit  |
The central control unit (CCU) is the heart of the congress
management system. It provides automatic microphone
management, simultaneous interpretation and electronic
voting facilities, giving effective, unsupervised control of even
large international conferences. If more extensive management
and additional functionality is required, the CCU can be controlled
by an operator using a PC running powerful, dedicated DCN software. A configuration to suit every occasion The DCN system gives an unrivalled combination of user facilities ease-of-use, and flexibility. |
Microphone Management

The DCN offers a complete range of microphone control possibilities. The number of simultaneously active microphones can be regulated, which is vital for effective management of the proceedings. With PC control an operator can activate/deactivate delegate microphones, and even create lists of eligible speakers for more structured gatherings. |
Versatile Voting functions
|
The CCU had integral parliamentary-style voting facilities, and
special dedicated voting software allows much more, including
audience response, multiple choice and rating voting. Scripts
can be prepared in advance, saving time during the conference
itself, and results can be displayed in the conference venue. |
